A different kind of welcome

You are noticed — not with questions, but with gentle attention.

We feel when you need to rest, when a warm meal would mean a lot, and when silence is the kindest company.

You’re not one guest among many. You’re someone we’re happy to care for — quietly, and only as much as you want.

That’s our way of welcoming: warm, respectful, and always from the heart — not as a guest, but as part of our family.

The heart behind NJ House

Hi, I’m Nuwan.

For twelve years, I worked far away in big hotels and on distant islands. I learned how to take care of people — and how much the small, human things matter.

But what I really wanted was something more honest: a place where care feels natural, where people can slow down, and where everyone feels truly looked after.

So we built NJ House here in Tangalle with our own hands — shaped by what we believe in: family, honesty and calm.

My wife, our daughter and I live next door. We’re here when you need something. We step back when you want silence. And we’re happiest when you feel at home.

I’d be honoured to welcome you to NJ House.
